Robo Rumble
An intense 1v1 arcade-style game based on the 2022 FIRST Robotics season.

What I did
Game Design: Designed the 3Cs to translate a physical, 3v3 game into a 1v1, digital format.
Scripting: Designed and implemented all features using C# scripting.
2D Art: Developed a cohesive, clear art style with a focus on clearly communicating key gameplay information to players.
Why This Game?
The prospect of creating an “easy to play” but “hard to master” game intrigued me when I was inspired by the 2022 FRC World Championship. As a previous driver in the FRC Championship, I found the idea of letting anyone experience the thrill of competing with top tier robots very intriguing. I felt that there would be a sizable target audience for this type of game as I had a lot of fun with another 2D FRC game recreation and I knew others would be able to find fun with my game. As a result, Robo Rumble became my most played Itch.io game, garnering over 2500 views and ~2000 plays.

Practiced writing clean, modular code and content creation tools to make creating more robots as easy as possible.
Experienced creating and balancing a meta-game with a sizable player count.
