About me

Hi! I’m Corben, a passionate technical game designer that’s been designing and developing games for over 5 years between industry work experience, education, and personal projects. I graduated from the Honours Bachelor of Game Design program at Sheridan College in 2023 and previously worked as a Game Design Intern at Snowman on Laya’s Horizon, an open-world wing-suiting game for Netflix. I was then a Technical Designer at Sleeping Giant, working on internal game projects and co-dev client work. I’m currently a part of the XR team at LogicalDox as a Technical Game Designer. Outside of games, I am very passionate about Basketball (Go Raptors!), Tabletop Role-Playing Games, and Miniature Painting! In every team I’ve been a part of, from part-time work to professional settings, I have established myself as a driven, hard-working team member always striving for the best.

I was always a super creative kid, getting myself into all kinds of art, Lego, and of course, games. I built more technical skills in high school where I took computer science courses and held a leadership role in our school’s FIRST robotics team, 1325 Inverse Paradox. I spend a lot of my free time volunteering with the team these days in a mentorship/coach role, working alongside the students in their task of building a world-class competitive robot. Knowing how the program benefitted me, it is rewarding to teach and inspire the next generation of STEM professionals. (The photo on this page is from one of our competitions!)

Game Design felt like a natural fit for me as a bridge between my creativity, technical skills, and passion for games. As a result, I’ve been loving every second of my game development journey and can’t wait to see where it takes me next.
